Have you heard about this recently? Studies have been ongoing concerning omega 3 and pregnancy, with the focus being on the potential benefits to both mother and child. Omega-3 fatty acids have been proven to have a wealth of healthy effects on both children and adults so far as maintaining cognitive and visual function, preventing cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s, and the treatment of diabetes.
What researchers are trying to accomplish is finding out whether a pregnant woman who is supplementing her diet with omega fatty acids can pass on the benefits of her supplementation to her child. Being that the mother is the only source of these essential fatty acids both to her developing fetus, and her breast fed only infant scientists were curious as to what maternal dietary supplementation would do.

It is totally understandable that women want to take the best care of themselves during pregnancy and fish oil supplements are something that can benefit the health of both the mother and the fetus. It used to be believed that the benefits of DHA rich omega-3 fish oil could not effectively be passed on from mother to child, but that belief has since been proven wrong.

While Depression affects approximately sixteen percent of people in most developed countries, a surprising thirty percent of all women suffer from the symptoms of clinical depression. This is believed to be induced by the different hormonal changes women experience throughout their lives. There are many ways to cope with depression. While some people are satisfied with counseling and therapy others find it helpful seeking prescription drugs. Among one of the most commonly distributed antidepressants is Paxil.
Introduced and manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline in 1992, Paxil is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It works by balancing serotonin, a neurotransmitter that affects certain moods in people.
