I have OCD, anxiety, and depression – I’ve had it since I was 14 and I’m 21 now. I’ve been treated for it since 14 years old too. When I found out I was pregnant, I came off my behavioral meds for the baby’s benefit. Now, I’m 15 weeks pregnant and can hardly get up in the morning. I don’t want to do anything. I don’t care about my house being dirty, I don’t care about the fights I’m having with my SO, I don’t care about anything that I should care about anymore. I don’t have the energy to do the simplest tasks. Sometimes I want to swallow a huge dose of pills and just check out – I’d never do that because I love my unborn baby, but I’m seriously suffering. How am I going to get through the rest of my pregnancy like this?

I’ve been suffering with anxiety/depression for about 5 years. My pregnancy was a surprise, as I was not intending on getting pregnant. In fact, I was starting an anti-depressant around the time I conceived (Maybe even the same day!). As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I tapered off my medications. At first I was excited and thought I would be great and beat this condition. However, for the past week or two, my depression symptoms have returned. I cry a lot, feel sad, nervous, etc. Anyone else go through something similar? Getting back on an anti-depressant is not an option for me because regardless of what some people say, I fear causing harm to my baby. Did the women who went through something similar get post-partum (another fear of mine)

So last week I found out that I am pregnant. I am 5 weeks pregnant and going insane trying to figure out how I got pregnant. I have been on it for 11 months and took it every night like clockwork. I was also taking other medication for depression but my doctor said that those do not interact with the pill. Has anyone else ever got pregnant on the pill? My husband thinks I am deceiving him some how. I am so much in shock since this is very much an unplanned pregnancy.

My name is Terisa and I am in desperate need of help! I am 19 years old and have been very ill for almost a year now. I have seen several doctors (including specialists), had hundreds of tests, and even more medications and treatments to no avail. I am getting pretty desperate because the nature of my illness is one that restricts me to home, limits me to few activities, and most importantly, keeps me in constant pain. I am hoping that somewhere out there is my House. I am looking for a doctor looking for a challenge or someone that has struggled with illness that may have answers! I am willing to take any suggestions so if anyone has any idea of what I could have, please feel free to put in your two cents! And please don’t hold back because of how serious a diagnoses you have. I’ve been told I have all sorts of terrible diseases so I’m not shy about that. The following are my symptoms.
*Wide spread, chronic, severe pain that is worst in the knees, hips, and back. The pain is made worse by movement, sitting, standing, exercise, walking, bending over, crouching down, and on bad days, laying down. The pain is helped by narcotic pain killers and heat but never goes away completely. A normal day my pain is between a 5 and 7 on the pain scale. With drugs, a 3 to 6 (The pain started March 2nd, 2009. At the time I was diagnosed with a bulging disc but I have since been undiagnosed. However the pain mimics that of a bulging disc if that helps.)

ok I’ve had my IUD in since Nov. and at first I loved it (after I stopped the initial 4-6 weeks of bleeding) But over the last 2 months or so I’ve noticed that I’m more irritable and I feel like my anti-anxiety medication is not working. I had my Dr increase the dose, but it hasn’t done anything. I couldn’t figure out what was going on and I kept having panic attacks.
And I know your periods are supposed to be lighter if any at all, that’s nice and all, but I get horrible excruciating cramps, it feels as bad as like labor pains. I literally can’t move, it’s so bad, and it lasts for weeks. So instead of my regular 3 day period I used to have. I spend over half the month in such pain I can’t function.

I am 21, just got hired for a $7 an hour job (almost finished with vet tech college studies)… but I have this terrible urge to have a baby. Almost every girl I went to high school with has/will be a mom recently. I can’t help but be jealous, or is it hormonal? I feel this way mainly before my period starts.
I am not trying to get pregnant (*I didn’t know where else to post this*)… My gyno has said I am at a high risk for miscarriage (and in the summer I went through one, not sure if it was the antibiotics I was on, or the mess up of skipping pills while I was terribly sick and vomited everything back up — including my non-dissolved pills and water), as well as pregnancy complications.

I am 24 weeks pregnant and have been having family problems (my grandmother passed unexpectidly) I suffer from extreme depression and anxiety, and have had these problems for years. The past couple of days I have taken between 1-3 mil. of ativan a day and am worried about the effect on my baby. I just can’t stop crying and i go into severe panic attacks and the ativan is the only thing I have found that calms me. Has anyone taken ativan throughout a pregnancy, or for short periods of time durring? Please no critisisim, I only want helpful answears.
