don’t assume her politics. trust, she’s def pro-choice & has said so repeatedly. point of the song’s that nobody ‘wants’ to have an abortion, it’s a horrible decision to have to make & that psychos don’t seem to realize blaming the victim just fuels the already regretful experience-that stays with u thru/out your life. that when u ignore the social elements, like poverty, age & cultural stigma, you’re making matters worse. that’s the between the lines of what she’s aiming to say with this song.
jean is such a great story teller she should be listed not only as one of the top female m.c.’s but best m.c. of all time
